I am never disappointed at the generosity of my friends in fandom. I woke up this morning to the wonderful message that I'd been gifted with an extension of my paid account! Too hard to get to, and it's too hard to get around the hotel, even with a scooter, because of those heavy doors. And almost everyone I know who used to go there don't anymore. But I have loads of good memories from all the times I went.

That's pretty much the story for me. The flights were getting harder to get at times I wanted (never mind expensive) and the con's energy was way down, IMO. Lots of old friends bowed out, too.

The memories are awesome! I had some of my best times at that con and that's worth a lot. :)
