After dinner, Clark insisted that he would do the dishes while everyone moved to the living room. Lex stayed behind and helped him, their quiet companionship exactly what Clark wanted and needed.

Aww. Clark and Lex deserve a little happy domesticity in their lives, instead of all that unrelenting angst. This is a lovely chapter, quiet and simple, and full of good feeling.

That was such a lovely dinner, the domesticity is pleasing as was everyone's appreciation for Martha's cooking. Yum.

I loved writing this chapter! :)

I should write some cozy domestic tranquillity fic with these two more often. ;)
