Oh, I hope you feel better soon! *hugs*

I knew how I wanted to end it but not quite how to go about it, if that makes any sense.

It makes total sense to me. I sometimes have stories like that and they need the time to really come together, but then it feels super satisfactory when they do.

Another story did a major change on me. I decided to go in a different direction and had to abandon much of what I’d written, but I think I can use several scenes in another story.

Sometimes is a great adventure and stories go into directions we never expected. It can be wonderful when a story changes in unexpected way and sometimes frustrating when you have to abandon part of what you've written. But turning the abandoned scenes into a new story is the perfect solution. ;)

I knew a fellow writer would understand! :)

That's a wonderful way of putting it, a great adventure! And when you can salvage parts to make something new, all the better! :)

I was so tired of the Peyton media love fest that I almost wanted him to win just so I'd never have to hear it again. The thing I can't get over is that Denver was a good enough team BP (Before Peyton) that it managed to win a playoff game with Tim Tebow as quarterback, and the Colts are essentially as successful AP with Luck. So yes, Peyton has a fabulous work ethic and is constantly changing things at the line, but all the Omahas just irritate me quite frankly.

No, no! Then he would be the Greatest Quarterback Of All Time and they'd just be getting started with the gushing!

Omigosh, if I heard "Omaha!" one more time...

The Bruce-Dick link doesn't work. :-(

Sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather. Hope it's just a passing thing, but be careful and take care of yourself.

And I can certainly relate to stories sitting for awhile. I've got about a half dozen that I just don't seem to be able to get to. I wish I had your discipline when it comes to writing!

Sorry 'bout that! I can't edit right now (SNAFU on LJ), so here's the link:

It's a very cute blog! Lots of great material on the boys! :)

My sister's very sick, too. Bleh.

*grins*

Well, it helps when I let things sit around awhile. I've got stories that have been unfinished/unrevised in my notebooks for months, even years. Some will never see the light of day but others still have a shot. :)
