JFK Special This Week On PBS

Hi, luvs! PBS is supposed to air a JFK special on American Experience this week. Check your local listings, but it looks like a two-parter on Monday and Tuesday. I can't confirm (Are you kidding? Some days I'm lucky to get into LJ, never mind PBS's site with dial-up!) but they've been doing previews without any info on the day or time. I happened ( Read more... )

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was on last week. I missed it and tried looking it up for future watching and all it gave me was On Demand for a price. Could be they're rerunning it which is great, so thanks for the heads up. I will most certainly check it out. With the 50th anniversary of the assassination coming up (god, has it been that long?) you'd think they would show it more than once.

Last week? Hmm, I did check every night and didn't see it, and so maybe my info is wrong for tonight. I would think they'd rerun it, especially on weekends. I did see a preview ad a few days ago so maybe you'll be able to see it this week, too. :) Anyway, I'll tune in tonight and find out. :)

I'm surprised the networks don't have more stuff. I know that one of the cable channels has a movie called Killing Kennedy running this week. During the 25th anniversary you couldn't turn around without a Kennedy special. I wanted to see Parkland, an indie movie about what happened at the Dallas hospital on November 22, 1963, but it wasn't shown in my area. :(

No, you're right. :-) The first part is tonight, the second tomorrow. I just DVRed both episodes. Again, thanks!

You're welcome. :)

I'm looking forward to it. They won't gloss over his faults (serial philandering one of the biggies) but will present a balanced analysis, it sounds like. I'm all for that. Makes his good qualities stand out more. :)
