Great "meet the parents" story, and I love that it's from Martha's point of view. She would notice all the little things and be conscious of the contrasts between her home and what Bruce is used to, as well as being protective of Clark.
Can't wait to see where you go with this!

A mother knows! ;) I liked the portrayal of Martha in MOS and knew she'd be very observant, as she is in all incarnations. And she'd be very protective of Clark against the rich boss who just doesn't know well yet.

Thank you! I definitely have some more ideas. I just need to finish my Avengers beach vacation story! ;)

BTW, I keep meaning to ask and then always forgetting, but the poems you use to start off your stories, are those real or do you make them up?

Thank you! :)
I really disliked the way Jonathan died in the movie. It just seemed so stupid and wasteful! I'm sure Clark could have figured out some way to fool people to save his own father! Just another heaping of angst onto his head. >:(
Love the way he and Martha are portrayed here, the teasing that highlights the love. And Jonathan's banter with Bruce was a huge treat. :)
I figure Jonathan has a dry sense of humor. He and Bruce would get along quite well. :)

99% of them are my creations. Once in awhile I may take a real quote from somewhere (a poem or song or speech) but most are my little cherries on top of the sundae. Or pie, in this case. ;)

Martha seemed like the right POV for this particular story. :)
