Microsoft WorldWide Telescope

TechCrunch reports that Microsoft has unveiled their new WorldWide telescope, which is being billed as "an observatory on your desktop".  It's made bloggers cry and wowed professors.  Think of it as Google Maps for the universe.

A tear? Wow man. The only tears software ever inspired in me were those of frustration. Not that I've ever let it get that far...I'd rather search furiously for something non-important to break, then feel better (beer optional).

I have to admit, when I read the post before the telescope was announced, I expected something far greater, like, a cure for cancer or something.

This is cool and all, but you're right - he may have gone a bit too far.
