The idea for this one came from two places.
One was my impression of season 1, which I finished watching about a month ago. There was a dark, feverish kind of pace to the cast chemistry, but there were layers of caring (for each other as well as the patients) beneath that. They almost seemed to be working to heal each other, none more so than House. My favorite moments of the season were when they would realize that, see the good they were doing, and see how they were becoming a better person because of it. That reminded me of classic Christmas stories like "It's A Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Carol." The show's personality also seemed to fit the jazzy, reflective Vince Guaraldi score for the Charlie Brown Christmas special.
I also got a request for a vid in this fandom as a Christmas gift for one of the members of the Reverie vidding forum.
