...because I want to read your full review, and it's been a while since you've given anything less than three smileys. (Right?)

after i heard friedman on NPR i went on a strike of his books and columns. The man is an idiot, and he was MEAN to brian lehrer! how can you be mean to brian lehrer??!?!

I even go so far as to move his books off the display table in barnes and noble because i think he is a moron.

So that would be me putting a "no don't bother finishing the book" vote. :)

Wow, everyone hates this guy! I read his columns occasionally when my father puts them in Roundup, but I guess I don't really keep track of which columnist writes what--they all just sort of run together in my head. (Except for Maureen Dowd. I could be relied on not to accidentally buy one of her books.)

if only i had made it to that borders before you to hide this book! :) I will have to step up my friedman-book hiding activities to keep more people safe from his drivel.

You should continue, but only because Friedman can't be mocked enough. This book offended me when it first came out, it should be even more amusing now that oil is in the $130+ range, shipping costs have tripled, and airlines are laying off thousands of pilots.

This is what happens when I only casually keep a "to read" list and hit the sale table at Borders right before a long weekend. Ah well, I definitely got my money's worth out of the other book I bought.

"web site", really? Not only is he a moron, but he couldn't afford a fact-checker. Doofus.

There are so many other bits I haven't mentioned, like when he spends 2/3s of a page indirectly quoting some website about how PayPal works. Guess what? That counts as common knowledge! You don't have to cite anybody!

Whoa. Unless you are finding it funny I would stop reading.

I can't read his stuff in the Times. It drives me up a wall.
