I'm happy that it's now so cheap to fill up. $10 instead of $60. And 60 mpg totally beats whatever I get in the Audi.

I wish they made bigger tanks -- I guess you can just put some jerry cans on the back to increase range to ~1000 miles or so, at the risk of potentially becoming a fireball.

The 100-150mph range of e.g. a Ducati is pretty inferior if you're on highways where only 1/2 gas stations have acceptable-quality fuel, and some are not 24x7, and you might get lost, etc. Even 250 miles in a car is kind of unacceptable to me...I want 1000km range at least.

It's a long long time since I saw "gallons" written on a fuel pump.... Stupidly the UK went over to litres years ago for the sale of fuel - propably just because the price sounds lower that way!!!

What's your plan when the weather sucks? Back to the car or brave it on the bike?

I made it around okay the previous 27 years, right? I'll figure something out. :)

A friend and I split the cost of a garage spot near the office, so driving's always an option. Motorcycle's just more fun, and cheaper.

I know what you mean. This was the conversation Steven and I had when he gave me my scooter.
Me: What's the gas mileage like?
Steve: 100 miles to the gallon.
Me: Cool! How many gallons does it take?
Steven: One.
