2 little notes though:
1. At the end of chapter one, you wrote: "There, Pete was waiting for her. As she climbed in, she gave one last look to her home." The "As she climbed in" part feels incomplete. I know you mean she got in the car, but it still feels like an incomplete thought, if you know what I mean.
2. You have that Daniel was supposed to be there at 8:30 and was 25 minutes late. Then you say Jack's watch says 8:50.
