Is Hunters and Gatherers a Settlers spin-off or something altogether different. I know I've seen it, but I've never played.

I'm really into Citadels. Are you familiar with that one?

Hunters and Gatherers is a Carcasconne spin-off.

I've also played Citadels. We usually track who is each role each round thus to determine who has been assassinated / stolen from the most.

I like the expansion sets to Citadels -- adds some variety and keeps everyone on their toes.
