*sniff* how can I make Snake Charmer work for me? I wanted to love it, I really did- but it refuses to love me back!! What does it smell like on you? I get a rotten version of Snake Oil.. so I would just rather wear Snake Oil. I'm thinking I'll try it in a scent locket and if that doesn't work I'll kill it!

It smells like someone dropped a bottle of nail polish remover into a bottle of Snake Oil on me :(

You're welcome! I adore Snake Oil, so I wasn't totally disappointed when Snake Charmer didn't work on me. I sold it and bought a bottle of Beaver Moon instead. I suppose I could have waited to age it, but I didn't. :)

My other current faves are Dorian, Pink Phoenix, Black Pearl, Samhain, and Harvest Moon 05.

It's like Snake Oil on me, yes, but sweeter, with the plums and hints of cinnamon, and lovely Arabian musk wafting thru the drydown. I adore it.

I love it too. And even better, I layer it with Antique Lace and it's fabulous!

The Antique Lace really smoothed it out fo rme. I love it all on its own, but the AL made it even better.

To me Snake Charmer smells like a fairly nice, rich vanilla incense. It's not a top favourite, but it's pleasant enough.

Snake Oil, on the other hand, smells like Play-Doh slathered in cheap drugstore perfume to me. :-(

age it? Alot of people were saying that the new snake charmer smelled considerably different and less agreeable from the aged one, just like snake oil.

i was about to suggest aging it. it smells wonderful on me new, but i got an extra bottle solely to set aside. the notes on the scent all scream "let me deepen!" to me.

Yes, thank you both, I was hoping I wouldn't have to get rid of the bottle I wanted to keep! It will go in a nice box, in a safe place to age :)

Smut didn't work for me either! I was pissed! But, in all fairness I only tried it once and generally I have to try a scent at least twice to see if I like it.. now I want my decant back lol
