I'll watch out for la_colere and try to find out if she's got the evening free then. ;)

Thanks for the welcome!

IT'S UNTRUE THAT AT LEAST 10% OF THE UK'S RABIES EPIDEMIC CAN BE TRACED BACK TO ME! I figure it's more like 35% since some people are just too embarrassed to tell their GP they've been bitten! HAH!

I bite anything. Seriously. If it gets near my teeth it obviously has a death wish. *chomp*

Welcome! Don't worry, if anyone bites, it's only because they mistook you for a slice of three white cakes or red velvet cake. :)

Welcome, and thanks for the great reviews! They were well-written and made me laugh, and you get superextrabonus points for quoting "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon". :D Incidentally, I've been looking for a particular version of that song for ages, and can't seem to find it anywhere. It might help if I knew who was singing it, but all I know is it was a portly gentleman in a spangly sombrero. Any ideas?

Anyway, back on topic, rose is almost always death and doom on my skin as well, but I also really liked Bess. It was a frimp in a lab order and I was expecting to absolutely hate it with a whole five rose variants in there, but it's so very awesome, everything works together really well. I need more grapey scents, for sure. :)

Hee. Thanks! And mad props for recognizing it. ;) I'm afraid I don't know who might sing it in a sombrero though. The only recording I have of it is a duet between Shawn Colvin and Ernie. Sorry!

Bess must be some kind of magical mystery rose, because I've never had even ONE rose work on me before, let alone five. There's always the Great Exception that keeps me from ruling whole categories of BPAL out-- it's like "Nope, no patchouli, nix, nada, never... hey, except Luperci was really quite magnificent..."
