Centzon Totochtin: The Four Hundred divine rabbits of the Aztec pantheon that preside over parties and drunkenness. Bittersweet Mexican cocoa with rum, red wine, and a scent redolent of sacrificial blood. The scent is most lovely in its opening stages, when it takes on the smell of plain cacao beans ground to a paste and blended with a small amount ( Read more... )

Hmm. That's disappointing. I want to try some boozy scents and I'm intrigued by the idea of bittersweet chocolate, rum, and wine, but I'm squeamish about something that's supposed to smell like blood.

I ordered an imp from someone. Hopefully it will get here soon. I will let you know, since now I'm filled with trepidation too :\ More then anything, I just liked the name.

(which is a really dumb reason, I know.)

Oh, I dunno. The name is why I ordered Antony. And Clio. And probably a few others :-)

When I made my first order, I think that's why I started off in Wanderlust. It seemed the most logical, and I knew the names. Once I got familiar/comfortable, I ventured into the others. I ordered Tombstone based on the name alone, and wound up with one of my all time favorite scents.

Plus, names, you know. Names and places. Eh, I suppose it's only human.

Bathsheba!! purplelise March 25 2006, 03:14:21 UTC
Hi there:-)

Bathsheba is gorgeous... It's rich and plummy, with the hot floral vibe from the carnation and there's another *spicy* note that I can't quite put my finger on....

Of all the carnations scents I've tried (Maiden, Bathsheba, Alice, Dreamland, Masquerade, Maenad, Desdemona, and Morocco so far!) I love Bathsheba the most!! Morocco is a close second though... :-)

I hope you love it when you get to try it!!

Very interesting. I didn't smell much blood in mine (just yummy chocolate and rum), but the scent itself just didn't last long at all. I'm going to have to try it in my scent locket (when it arrives) and see if it's one I can keep or not.
