I know you're probably sick of hearing me say this, but I am still just astonished at how easy it is to plunk down anywhere and connect to the Internet. We truly are becoming a global information culture, shuttling from data access point to data access point.
It's the kind of progress that people take for granted, because it's not as flashy as putting a man on the moon, but it is irrevocably changing our world just the same.
For all the disasters, horrors, and everyday burdens, we really are living in amazing times. Or, as warren_ellis once memorably said, "It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way."
