After my rather spectacular row with Shane the other night, I wasn't sure how I was going to tell Draco that I'd probably bollocksed things up even worse than they were before. I mean, I couldn't not tell him what happened - he knew that I was at least going to invite Shane and Charlie to Draco's birthday dinner for tomorrow - but...but I was ( Read more... )

You did get rid of the bloody bit of pineapple, I trust?

No, Draco, I left it in the bowl and then bled over all the rest to make sure it all tasted the same.

That would be awfully Slytherin of you, Potter, if you were trying to place a blood curse on all of our guests at once. No one would see it coming.

...you can do that?

In theory. I wouldn't know from personal experience, you understand.

It would depend on the type of curse. Some are quite obvious, and others are a bit more insidious.

boywholives June 3 2007, 02:29:42 UTC
Well...what types of curses can you put on a person like that?

Could...I mean, it is possible...well, if you can curse someone without them even knowing, and a blood curse is the kind that gets, literally, under their skin...is it possible to kill someone like that?

Of course, if the wizard preparing the curse is especially strong. Or if the recipient is weak. Otherwise, it would require a lot more than a simple trace amount hidden away in food.

I assume you're familiar with poisoning by means of arsenic. The same rule would apply, if a wizard planned to give small doses over a lengthy period of time.

Draco...what if...

Could it...

Could it be that simple?
