We were invited to a late lunch today with Shane and Amelia, but decided to stay in instead. Emmy has been a right terror the past couple of days, and I for one did not want to reward her with an afternoon coddling her favourite plaything. All right, the rugrat is enjoying a time-out. I fail to see how this will solve anything, but the bloody parenting books cleverly talk around the problem instead of telling you how to fix it.

Wibble has her confined to the corner for fifteen minutes, at which point she may quietly play with a toy of her choice. She was squirming before I even left the room.
