I feel like I'm constantly falling further and further behind... over 500 emails in my inbox right now. I've read them all, and I don't need to respond to all of them, but I keep saving stuff with the intention of going back and answering... which reminds me, that long, locked post from a week and a half ago? I do intend on replying to your ( Read more... )

Impressive pics... I'm liking the gritty, realistic look. It actually looks like a very advanced version of our current space tech, which is an interesting direction to take. It's kind of like a cross between Firefly and Babylon 5.

It does. I posted in the Trek XI forum that I'm wondering if Geoff Mandel is working on the movie, as he was a graphic artist for Insurrection, Voyager, Enterprise and Serenity. (We had him as a guest at Toronto Trek 19... he's a pretty cool guy, and very good at what he does.)

I can see why you liked #37. (I accidentally typed 47 at first, which for trek is kind of fitting, I think).

Anyway, reminds me of this which I found on flickr which you might enjoy...

It would be. Blame Joe Menosky. :)

And I like the photo. I don't know what it is about Peeps, but they make for some very funny pictures. Almost as good as kittens in silly poses. :)

You should have said something. I just finished filling my room at Ad Astra... had space left until about a week ago.

I appreciate the thought. I just generally don't find it worthwhile to get a room at Ad Astra because I'm so close. (I know it's better to support the con by getting a room, but I'm trying to pay off my ridiculously large credit card balance.)

So why did the new guy leave so soon?

I have no idea. We didn't really talk much, even though he was sitting right next to me. Zak thought that he was a little overwhelmed, and I can see that, though given his background he should have been less overwhelmed than I was when I started, since I hadn't worked in two years and all of my experience was in mainframes.
