... thanks to elizard100's post from earlier today, I'm seeing Erasure, Debbie Harry, Cyndi Lauper and The Dresden Dolls on June 19 at the Molson Ampitheatre. Exactly. I emailed my friend Mike (yes, that Mike ;) ) as well because he's a big Erasure fan. He normally works 3-11 though, so he might not be able to get the day off.

And BTW, thank you for posting about it - I would never have heard about it otherwise. I had already more-or-less written off the idea of going because of the whole weeknight-at-6 thing.

I've started visiting a website called www.smartcanucks.ca that has a forum for all sorts of things like this where you can get free stuff or special deals or offers and that was just too cool not to share.

If it were that cheap here, I'd be going as well. I guess because it's not strictly an Erasure concert, I don't want to shell out the cash to see them play only a few songs. (But, for $11.11, I'd be willing!)

For me, I'll settle for seeing them in Anaheim, and then hopefully they'll also be playing in San Diego. The way I figure it, they'll play San Diego on a Friday, Anaheim on a Saturday, and maybe Sunday & Monday in LA. If I wasn't taking off for New York at the end of that week, I'd take Monday off, and go see them in LA on Sunday night. (Yes, I threatened Mrs. Alpinemaps with three Erasure concerts next time they came to town)

Oh man. I wanna see Erasure!

So far for the summer, I only have tickets for Morrissey. ... but I'm hunting for more good shows to go to.

I had wanted to go see Matisyahu, but he's touring with 311 and a bunch of other bands I don't care about. The Jones Beach concert was pretty much sold out when I checked - even the nosebleed seats were like $80. :(

The True Colours tour is playing Radio City on June 18. ;)

It's expensive, but maybe you'll be able to find a special discount like elizard100 did.

The Dresden Dolls are a great live act. Cyndi Lauper has song more gay pop than most gay artists ;) and is well worth seeing live too.
