Definitely some stereotype-breaking insights into David and Kiyoshi's relationship - the trust between them is stunning. LOVED the caning demo with documentary-style commentary about the "effects of the impact on the skin", etc...Informative AND erotic as hell...

However, didn't we have a discussion before about authors presenting their readers with hot stories that BEG for a sequel, without having said sequel ready for imminent release?? Very dommy kind of thing to do, isn't it...making us wait, not knowing if begging is going to get us what we want, or sent to the corner to wait until they are good and ready...

LOL I don't know Jaye and Reno beyond their very nice cyber personas, but there are definitively some sadistic tendencies there. Reno already posted in their Author Corner in The Manhole that it will be a while before we see the sequel. It's already plotted! How hard can it be? Sadists, I tell you. LOLOLOL :-p Just kidding. They have another project to finish (Messiah, I think), before they can write the sequel to Soft Focus. *sigh* Since I obviously have some masochistic tendencies, I will re-read Soft Focus until they get around to it. Not to mention running out to buy StarCrossed 3 March 11.

Oh but it is fun to watch you all beg. *winks* Begging never hurts. Jaye and I do have other things in the works, but we've been known to take a sharp turn off of what we are currently writing to do something else.

This weekend we changed course from SC5 in order to write the first 6 chapters of a totally new and unexpected concept. All I will say is is that is a vampire story like you have never seen before.

BTW, I'm so glad that you see the yaoi aspect of our writing. I am a huge fan of all anime, and I have to admit that some of that probably creeps into my characters. It will show more in the next week or so when I debut the art I've been working on. A portrait of Jace and Konnor.
