one of the best things i've been doing lately is making regular trips to our new central library. i've been there a lot because i'm volunteering to plan a craft show / market there on december 13th (yep, me with the volunteering again!) but also because i just love it as a building

ahh! those geese, i keep thinking about them. i've been really into dark indigo/blacks and block prints lately. maybe that's why. also the cold northern goosiness reminds me of a beautiful/creepy picture book (the best kind!) of my youth called Where the Wild Geese Go.

if you're ever in san francisco and it's a wednesday, you should check out the prelinger library (www.prelingerlibrary.org)! it's kind of a gallimaufrey of americana books, san francisco bits and pieces, and ephemera boxes housed in a warehouse space. it feels like a private collection that outgrew the prelingers' apartment. there's a photocopier there and the prelingers always encourage you to take lots of pictures.
