i'm terrible.

i'm terrible at keeping a blog. i think it's because there's so many micro ways to share thoughts and fragments of days (instagram, twitter, what not) that unless you are a Career Blogger, or just really good at focusing on writing down everything you do, it's just not happening ( Read more... )

I know the feeling, I guess. Lately I've just been in a quandary over whether all the lj peeps are disappearing because I don't update enough, or whether it's a combination of bloggers leaving lj for other blog services.

I know it helps to jot your thoughts down on paper, and I've started doing that during lag time at work, but it isn't always convenient. i think the livejournal platform feels dated which has kept people from being loyal when there are so many other more beautiful platforms.

good idea to jot down journal ideas. i've always felt that blogging was an opportunity to take a break from creating my work, not another ongoing creative outlet i need to maintain. so, it often falls to the bottom of the to do list, or -- more realistically -- it isn't on the to do list at all. but it should be.

my blog is mostly kept in a paper bound diary and sketchbook, but that's not called a blog at all. hey, thanks for your thoughtful comment!
