i'm terrible at keeping a blog. i think it's because there's so many micro ways to share thoughts and fragments of days (instagram, twitter, what not) that unless you are a Career Blogger, or just really good at focusing on writing down everything you do, it's just not happening

It takes a lot of effort to put together good entries and I know you must have your hands full with all the arts and crafts and reading that you do aside from it. Yes, It's weird how one tries to read a book, paint a picture, or whatever, and that's when the spark of an idea strikes for a good topic for your lj update. I know it helps to jot your thoughts down on paper, and I've started doing that during lag time at work, but it isn't always convenient. I even have one of those Android Galaxy Note phone, but just the writing part takes a person into that zone. So, writing in the middle of walking across a busy intersection isn't always convenient ( ... )

good idea to jot down journal ideas. i've always felt that blogging was an opportunity to take a break from creating my work, not another ongoing creative outlet i need to maintain. so, it often falls to the bottom of the to do list, or -- more realistically -- it isn't on the to do list at all. but it should be.
my blog is mostly kept in a paper bound diary and sketchbook, but that's not called a blog at all. hey, thanks for your thoughtful comment!
