i have a few things i really want to learn about but outside of being in school, have no idea where to gather information on the following. if you have any thoughts, or know where i can get more information about any of these things, i would REALLY appreciate the guidance ( Read more... )

I have no experience with grants, but you might try contacting your local arts counsel for the area you live in.

I don't know if this it what you are looking for, but I used this tutorial when I was learning about how to draw patterns.

i'm familiar with this style of pattern making - i'm looking for the "drop down" technique! PS julia (who does the tutorial) is awesome & a friend of mine!

you're friends with heidi (mypapercrane), right? she's been doing some amazing things on spoonflower and would be a good person to talk to about pattern repeats.

i want all my artist friends to make fabric so i can make quilts with their fabric!

yes! this i agree with the awesomeness of the design sponge tutorial...doesnt address the irregularity of what you might be looking for but it might work for you! personally, i would love yards and yards of susie fabric so i hope you make some!

i've seen the tutorial (julia's a pal of mine!) it's not the kind of pattern i'm interested in designing, but it is cool!
