somehow i got sick again & i would love to say that this time was also "life's way of telling me to slow down" & that in a way i enjoyed it. but i was on a deadline for a book, so the moment i emerged from my 102 degree fever, i had to get back to painting. there was no tea, movies, books, pjs or rest....just non-restful sleep & then working ( Read more... )

Your Pollard dream is hilarious! I often wonder where GBV lyrics come from (it seems like they're often a blend of personal experience, surrealism, and collage.)

I grew up "following" GBV throughout Ohio (and, sometimes, neighboring states) with my aunt. At their final show (prior to their reunion last year, that is) she gave Bob a copy of her favorite book (Island of the Blue Dolphins.) He was nonplussed.

Awesome and yea, u being sick is your body getting pissed off and taking it in her own hands. I'm glad you're still LJ'ing, it sure brightens up my bookmarks.

o! so sorry to hear you feel badly again, susie! there really is no 'good time' to be sick -- though in th middle of winter with a foot of snow covering 3 inches of ice + it's zero degrees out comes close. i hope you feel + stay better! you're in a snow-free zone + have things to do!

your dream makes me laugh. wish we could tivo our dreams + watch them [again] or show our friends... it's 2011. where is that dream recorder already?

i always love your work, susie. can't wait to hear more about this new book! yay!
