Yikes -- what a nightmare!! Is there any chance he wrote down your credit card numbers to possibly try to use at a later time?! That's so scary. I'm sorry you had such a crappy holiday:(
shit, i guess that is possible. though it looked like nothing had been touched besides the cash. i mean, the guy did not take my california state parks membership pass, so he was OBVIOUSLY just in it for the money. har har.
Urg, sorry to hear that this happened to you. But, good thing it happened at the end of the year and you aren't starting off the new year with this incident!
good call, and in all honesty, it's balanced/cancelled out by some of the amazing things that happened to me at the end of this year like the awards and the two great craft shows and my solo art show money is just money. cars are just cars. maybe this will make christmas less important to me in the future, which could be a good thing, to avoid future feelings of letdown if bad stuff happens on this day.
oh shit. mine sucked too. first my flight home was cancelled due to fog. i could fly the evening of the next day but now my (huge) suitcase is lost. with all the presents inside.
oh no! anke, that's terrible! but i think that happens the most at this time of year...flight cancellations and delays due to weather. i hope your suitcase is recovered soon. xoxo
Well, it was definitely not the best christmas! In the end I only spent one day at home, being upset about the suitcase!!! Now that I'm back in London the suitcase has re-appeared and will be dropped off at my parents' house tonight, so at least the presents aren't lost, although of course it's not the same at all not to be able to give them. But it's all ok now. :)
