how could i have lived my life never knowing that there are lizards out there that detach their tails are a defense mechanism and grow a new one?! It makes me feel really stupid and dissapointed from all the years I could have been impressed by the awesomeness of that.

my hermit crabs will drop a leg if they feel threatened so the predetor will be like wtf!? while they are running away. i think it's pretty funny. i wish i could do that.

everything but the kitchen skink

Definitely a skink. Its movements were very snakelike, which creeped me out. I like most reptiles, but snakes are the exception, and this lizard was a bit too snake-like, wouldn't you agree? Slithery, and quite fast. Oh, she was yar!
yaaaaar!! I thought your description of the tail as looking like an epileptic worm was quite fitting. You were so brave. I miss you already! Oh, and I meant to console you -- at least it wasn't dried skink tail that helped you get over pneumonia. Skink tail should be medicinal or magical; it seems fitting for a witch's brew.
