In the topic thread, you apologize for putting up personal stuff. But this is very raw and real, without blaming or calling for a pity party. You also structure it nicely with the cycle teetering at the end of the piece--it's nice as the reader to hope for you and worry at the same time.

My struggles with my own mom have never gone this far...but we've never worked together.

She certainly can take care of herself! If she chooses to be reckless with her health and well-being because she's angry at you, that's her choice and definitely not your fault.

It sounds like keeping business and family separate is the best thing to do, even if it does piss her off. In the end, you have to do what's right for you.

Co-dependence with parents can be really difficult, I've never worked with my mother but I can imagine how it would go. Thank you for sharing this.

Hey, sure. I mean, blame the prompt. Someone posts "step on a crack" while you're dealing with a problematic personal/professional interaction with your mom... it kinda just POPs out. Just like that. :P

It sounds like keeping business and family separate is the for the best. You have to do what's right for you.

Also this isn't a saying that is said over here in the UK. (as far as I know!)
