That was really beautiful and difficult to read, honestly. Choose Life remains, to this day, my favorite fic of yours and it's simultaneously hard to see it continued this way and sort of like an exhalation, like there's no other way it could possibly happen.

In short, I think I love you.

Thank you.

I am not sure there could be no other way. I think the outside situation as it is described here and as an limited objective narrator would see it - is quite what I always believed the way the lives of the characters would continue. That dark interior in this fic, Logan being eaten up by his guilt and his past - not necessarily. It's like the fanfic of a fanfic, something that could happen, but not it being the only way it could happen.

Does that make any sense?

OMG, I am in love with this imagery. :D Using the "Wizard of Oz" was a stroke of genius, and I also really love how V/L's kids are like amalagamations of all the bad parts of each of them -- like this secret tainted them so badly that they couldn't help but produce the most screwed up children possible. This is future fic that doesn't feel like future!fic, because in this 'verse, Logan's growth appears stunted with the weight of his uncertainty about Veronica. Dude, what a fascinatingly complex, detailed, yet realistic world you've created here! Just amazing -- thank you so much for posting!!! :D And keeeeeeeep writing!!! :)

P.S. Weevil and Carrie now seem all the more intriguing, due to the events of ANMMHE (hint, hint ;)

I try to find the words, but... well, it's weird that someone likes this fic. It's quite the ugly step-child. It has no apparent plot and... well, it's a parody of Mrs. Dalloway or the two pages of Mrs. Dalloway I actually managed to read. And then the metaphors and total fucked-upness of it all. To me it appears to be the child so ugly that only its mother could love it.

Of course, when I wrote it I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread and the invention of the wheel. I kind of reconsidered since then. Really, this is what happens when you listen to anonymous comments asking you to be more experimental. Especially when you know/believe that your strength lies not exactly with short stylistically interesting dark fics.

Gosh, sorry for dropping all this "OMG I suck" on you. I am really glad you like it, actually. It's just that you and ambrent seem to be the only people who do. Which gives weight to the idea that perhaps I should concentrate on Weevil, instead of writing parodies of something I know nearly nothing about.
