Aw, I liked Wait for Me when I read it last year, but that was back when I read mostly teen fiction and fewer ~actual~ novels. I think I just enjoyed it more than I should have because it involves cross-cultural conflicts, which I've been a fan of observing ever since watching Bend It Like Beckham.

Chronicle; I read that when in my 10th-grade English class at Hunter, I think. It's the first Marquez novel that I ever read and I thought it was pretty good; I'd never read anything quite like it before. My memory of it is kind of fuzzy, but I read One Hundred Years of Solitude my spring semester of college and refreshed my memory of his writing style, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Um, I meant cross-cultural conflicts in terms of romantic relationships. Of course, real-life conflicts between cultures are interesting too, but a lot of them make me sadface :(
