A Persona is a person's 'other side.' Like a defensive form. We use them to fight Shadows... but I had a feeling they might work against some other things as well. Turns out my gut was right.

[None of this is coming easily. He's used to all this being a closely-guarded secret, but... it's apparent they're all in this together now. A guy who got his eyes gouged out by the thing doesn't seem apt to use this all against them.

I have a tool for it, kind of an activation switch. Not that we need one here: one of the others just called out for it and his familiar transformed.

I see. Impressive. They've been in possession of individuals here the past few months and this is the first I've heard of anyone successfully having them evolve to be used in combat.

So, they can be used to attack normally intangible things... ...are you three all right?

We wouldn't be if we'd stuck around. We stunned it and got out of there. It was too fast and we... hngh, weren't as prepared as we thought.

Shadows aren't exactly tangible either, though. They're more like people's thoughts and emotions. That must be why a Persona could attack it when it came out of the mirror. If we had the right strategy...

It's more than we had to go on before... If you can draw her out where the others and I can attack her, we can hit her all at once and keep on her until she goes down. I don't know what kind of abilities the other two Personas have, but mine can pull a few tactics. Something'll get through.

Question, though. Why is it we can attack her and not you?

I am unable to summon my Gestalt here, which acts somewhat similar to your persona in our world.

Without them, the Magisters can't touch the intangible any more than you and your allies could without your personae.
