But if Aled had known, if he'd suspected-- well, Julian had to admit, that was a pretty good reason.

Typo on "Alex". Sorry I missed it before; must've been distracted by the urge to hug poor Julian. :)

Lionel blinked, leaning back a bit in his chair.

When did Lionel sit down?

Still in love with Altville,

As soon as you said all the lights were on in the castle: oh, yes we all knew it was Lionel.

"You know, Julian, despite your disappointing academic record, I've never actually believed that you were stupid," Lionel said. "But perhaps my paternal feelings were getting in the way of an accurate assessment. That's really the only explanation I can find for this afternoon's debacle."

*laughs* Yeah. Lionel.

*wants to comment more but--needs to go to work*

He's still afraid of heights-ahhh!

Is it weird that every single time they share a physical contact with one another, I squeal audibly? *ie--arm grabbing*

Wonderful angsty part! I love Alex's need to know, even as Alex, and love how you wove that curiosity into the story. Thank you for making him intelligent!

And poor Woobie!Julian!

Major woobies, man. And yeah, lights are all on - I just knew it was Lionel.

((and yes, when did Lionel sit down? He had been standing at the end of Julian's bed.))
