I just adore Alex. Getting a game face--ha! And this is just...so sweet:
Deep down Julian seemed like he was all right; after all, he'd tried to protect Lana. Since reading through the files Chloe had sent him, Alex really couldn't blame Julian for having a somewhat abrasive personality. He probably just took some getting used to, that was all,...
And so is this: Alex couldn't help but give him a halfway smile, bemused at Julian's automatic assumption that they were leaving together.

Ahhh! Livia, you are out-doing yourself with each chapter. Is it selfish of me to wish that this series continue all summer? Its that good. I can't wait for the next installment. Thanks for writing.

Wow, heavy episode. Very tight though, well written.

"Sorry to disappoint," Alex said, and Julian smiled crookedly, cocking his head to the side.

I hope Alex gets a chance to make it up to him... VBG

You captured the shock *very well*, that inevitably follows some kind of big confrontation. I also like how you reeled in Lana's emotional response. Too many times she's written with these big, sobbing reactions, when usually she's far more prone to quiet, weepy tears.

And dude, who wouldn't be freaked out by Wonder Bug? *shudder*

I look forward to whatever's next!

I'm in agreement with those who want this to last throughout the summer. It's a great read.

Loved this especially:

"Well, you know... under different circumstances, I'd consider myself indebted to anybody who provided me with the opportunity to tackle you and roll around with you some, but I didn't really get a chance to enjoy it that much, so."

At least, Alex thought, he was getting a little better at his game face. At least he hoped so. He could feel his ears burning, and his cheeks were definitely hot, but he didn't think his expression had changed. Julian didn't laugh, at least, just stared at him, obviously searching for some kind of reaction.

Can't. Stop. Grinning. :D--See?
