So the new Red Dwarf had about three lol-ish moments in it, which was sad (although I now want a 'bit crap' detector). Hopefully the next one will be funnier, since normal Red Dwarf episodes packed a load of crazy curry-monster-esque shit into twenty minutes and the manic pace was half the reason I liked it. Sarah doesn't seem impressed though,

Heh, I thought it was actually quite a good start (at least the opening half of the episode). Sadly, there were also some totally groan-worthy moments as well... plus, despite being amused by the novelty of a female Russian hologram, I quickly got annoyed by her mainly for threatening Rimmer... but also for being female and outranking him. However, the opening snark, the 'Bit Crap' detector, Rimmer's general indignation and the Cat's wonderful outfits/Cat being Cat made everything worthwhile. I also almost teared-up at the grave scene even though I hated the guts of the 'new' Kochanski and wished they'd never brought her back... I mostly felt for poor Listy. I do wish they didn't stop the episode at such an odd place though... it wasn't a cliffhanger as such, it just made me go "... and? Please continue...". Okay, I'll quit rambling.

Oh noes! FFVIII not working... that's a catastrophe! It always has to be the best ones that muck-up, doesn't it?

Haha, Cat is indeed wonderful. The Gaming Grandparents were watching it with us though, and have never seen Red Dwarf, so there were lots of questions like: 'is that a vampire?' 'what's he wearing?' 'are they in space?' and 'what's a motorcycle doing there?' every few seconds. Grave scene was lost on me sadly, I've not seen much of anything beyond the first few seasons because my DVD collection is actually Sarah's, and she's taken most of them to uni with her >.< Damn cousins.

And luckily I've memorised most of FFVIII anyway, so hopefully that'll tide me over till it fixes itself/I get a new copy/something else distracts me.

Saw a nice long trailer for XIII in a shop in Akiba today, it is beyond drool worthy. I's confused, was the backwards compatibility a firmware update?

Ah I sees. Yuh, XIII is so shiny it is unbelievable, it really is like 'I can't believe that's not pre-rendered!'
Also saw a random naruto cosplayer, would not have been unusual were it not for the fact that he (very obviously a he) was cosplaying the pink haired chicky...
