I can't remember all of the episodes this season either, and I was just beating myself up over it. I feel like nothing happened this season. (Of course stuff happened, but somehow it doesn't feel as "full" as, say, Season 4.)

I love the homages that Supernatural pays to genres and styles of films. This is Yet Another Homage that was done really well. I loved it, too.

You know what? I don't think we're the only ones. :(

I feel like nothing happened this season.

I think it maybe (at least for me) have something to do that it feels like there have been more one-off episodes and episodes featuring guest stars more prominently than previous seasons (Maggie/Don Stark, Bobby, Garth, Charlie to name a few) such that when I think back on this season Sam and Dean's story and their plot points don't immediately come to mind unlike previous seasons when it was more exclusively Sam-n-Dean with supporting characters supporting the boys' story and not their own.

I love the homages that Supernatural pays to genres and styles of films.

If not for anything else, I'll be thankful that S7 gave us Dean in 1944 and the gorgeous cinematography from that episode and, of course, this episode which I think will become one of my favorite non-mytharc heavy episodes. :)

I've never seen Leverage, but it sounds like a lot of fun to watch. Maybe I'll have to check it out. :)

Hey, she's alive so she can totally come back! I mean, it'd be easy for her to keep track of the boys from wherever she is.

The lack of sexual chemistry that you mention does work. And what I find very positive is that they manage to fit in a comment that it's not because she's a geek. (And that then leads to the fun scene where Sam's totally laughing at Dean for helping her get into Dick's office!)

Also, I feel a little like Show had Frank hack into my email and steal the BB fic. :D And now they both raised the bar for me because they mentioned firewalls, encryptions etc, making people more aware of that and they gave me ideas for names I could replace GC with. *steeples fingers* /tangent

Heh, and wouldn't that just be Charlie! I'd love it if she one-upped them and showed up only on her terms and they're all, "Bhuz? How'd you find us?" *glee*

And what I find very positive is that they manage to fit in a comment that it's not because she's a geek.

YES! You know, Charlie's character is not just a reflection of the genre geeks that likely make up a big proportion of fans but also of the writers who actually WROTE all those call-outs. So for the writers to bash Charlie by having the boys not be interested in her only bec. she's a geek would, in a way, not only be insulting fandom but also slamming themselves. Plus being geeky is fun.

Show totally has your back! \o/\o/\o/

Are you going to make it sound more nefarious or more innocuous? SucroCorp-esque?

RomanCorp. ;) Okay, maybe not quite that obvious. But something that sounds less like a real company, I think. :) I hadn't even thought about it, but a name that is more in the realm of Show could be sufficiently nefarious and also RL-neutral. We'll see.
