*Because there was only one mytharc plot in S1 and S2, which both brothers helped forward, episodes with new plot revelations received marks under both Sam (P) and Dean (P) columns. The exception was “Bloody Mary” (1x05) where the audience learned mytharc-related information about Sam that was withheld from Dean. I also marked through-going plots that were found to be important for the mytharc after their original airdate. Examples include (but aren’t limited to) “Crossroad Blues”, which laid the foundation for Dean’s deal, and “Tall Tales” (2x15), which established the premise for “Mystery Spot”. These designations could change as the series progresses and episode links are revealed.
