Get on a plane, go to Paris first and spend an entire day in Picasso's house with all of his original paintings that have no glass and you can stare at them with your nose 5 inches from their surfaces. Big, bold, amazing.....inspiring to a painter like me ( ... )

the only time(s) i feel a sense of ABSOLUTE joy deep down, is when it hits me that i have touched someone in a way that has served to make them feel good/happy/self-assured about themself. whether through my words, my actions or my art. i know that sounds like a lot of baloney but it's true. there's so much pain and confusion inside of people. one thing my years have taught me is that (clinically) i'm a classic "giver." not to be confused with altruistism. i'm no Mother Theresa. but wanting people to "like themselves" can be a double-edged sword. it can be perilous. often misconstrued. because along with pain and confusion comes suspicion.

anyway that's my answer your question.

At least you're not a "mope with no hope".

Somehow I can relate to almost all of those things and it comforts me that someone else feels them, too.
