Felina

My old guinea pig princess Felina is seriously ill.
Until now the vet is not 100% sure what's the main problem.
Maybe lymph gland cancer. Yes. Horrible.
She's feeling uncomfortable and I'm afraid she's even suffering pain.
I have to give her 0,3ml antibiotics and a drop of pain killer every day but she hates that treatment and I hardly see a result.

I have been thinking about you and dearest Felina ever since you last updated about her, honestly. I have been. And even though nothing I can say make the situation any better, I will still try.

Felina and Takeru both have a great owner, and I am sure they know that. I wish I lived closer to you so I could perhaps help you with both little critters. Actually, I am going to my ask mother if there is anything we can do for you, Takeru and Felina. Though I am afraid she will say what I already know, that there isn't much we can do. ):
If there really is no other way, I would totally be willing to take care of them as well as I can while you are away, but probably mother won't really agree with me. I can't clean rodent homes at the moment because of the eye surgery I had last month, so she is cleaning Alicia's home for a while now for me...

Is there anything, anything at all what I can do for you? ): I feel so bad sitting here and reading what is going on with you... ):

Dear Stephany,
thanks for your sympathy. =)
Good to know someone cares and knows how it feels.

The seriousness of the situation really hit me when I was at the vet's. Last week I thought Felina was "just" troubled by symptoms of her old age. Since wednesday it's getting worse so I went to the vet on thursday. And saturday. And most probably today, too.

I have to work tomorrow, which means I have to leave for Gelsenkirchen today. Now that I've watched my poor princess for almost 24 hours now, I'm afraid she won't survive until friday. If the vet doesn't have a new idea or a miracle to happen...
When I look into her eyes I think she has made her decision. =/

In case she would survive my mother/parents would take care for her and Takeru, like they always do for all my pet when I'm away.

Thank you for your offer and everything. <3

Dear Stephany,

Felina didn't make it.
She was put to sleep the day after christmas.

I'm going to post an obituary on my journal as soon as I'm ready for that. =/

I'm sad but I already have found a new friend for widowed Takeru. I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow so a-new-friend had to be my priority.

...

Sad greetings,
Daniela

Daniela,

I am so, so so sorry to hear about poor Felina. I already feared it, after hearing what you said. But Felina, Takeru and all the other piggies (and Prinz!) have one of the most wonderful owners they could ever wish for, and I am sure they know that. Nothing I can say can take away the sad feeling or the loss of the beautiful ninja, but I am thinking about you and Takeru.

I do hope you have a great time in Japan, and that it cheers you up a bit, and when you come back again, Takeru and his new friend will be waiting for you. If there is anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask me. I will do anything I can to help you, from this far away distance.

Very, very much luck & support from all the way over here, and a big hug for you and little Takeru.♥
