Look, what I love about "Hoy me voy," now that I know what it means is how startlingly inappropriate it is for a Ten/Rose song. Because, really, it's just the sort of skewed imperfection that's somehow perfect for them. I can totally see Rose developing great fondness for the song, and Brem finally being like, "Mum. You know what the song's *about,* don't you?" But if Juanes didn't want silly, non-fluent Americans choosing "Hoy me voy" as a fun, happy dance song, he shouldn't have given it that great catchy refrain!!

And, yes, you're right, "Hoy me voy" is waaay bouncier than it should be, considering it's a song about unrequited/unfulfilled love.
