Colin referenced a scene where the kid is dropped down a well, and said that the hero does nothing and doesn't care. What actually happens is the kid, while being hung over the well by some ninjas, kicks one of his slippers off and lets it fall into the well, enabling the hero to listen to how long it takes before it hits the bottom, so he knows how long he has to kill all the ninjas once the kid has been dropped so he can catch the rope the kid is tied to in time. It's a bit hard to explain in words because it's quite visual and largely soundless, but it's my favourite scene in the film!
