Elliott and I visited the San Diego Natural History Museum last weekend, to see the exhibit on the Dead Sea Scrolls. It had only opened the day before, and the museum was packed. Ah, slightly slanted museum exhibits, I can only imagine how frusturating that can be for an archeologist; it sounds like you still enjoyed it, though!

I really just wanted to comment because your picture of the bike cab reminded me of my sister and brother in law's bike cab ride from the wedding to the reception. She made it clear that it was for a wedding, but nonetheless the cabbie showed up wearing a leather vest and no shirt...he looked like he was wearing bondage gear or something!

Yes, the exhibit was mildly annoying but I'm sure anyone seeing a museum display relating to their specialization occasionally has the same experience.
