I've been monitoring a lot lately, watching immense belly scrapers shoot past me, and inhaling air, dust, and diesel fuel in equal parts.

I kind of feel you on the materialistic front. I gave in and bought a 7+ MP digital camera (http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=CNPSSD1000S) and yet I don't feel any less materialistic afterwards.

Also, I have started to massively spoonerize entire sentences. I read through your entire post thinking that the subject line was "the heady power of liquor" and kept thinking, this has nothing to do with liquor...

hehe. If I led a more interesting life, there probably would be potential for an entry titled "The heady power of liquor".

We'll see about that tonight - I'm meeting up with some friends in Norwalk, and they're making mojitos!

The camera looks good - for $200, that comes with a lot of nice bundled stuff.
