in bed

Crawled back into bed all excited about being warm and comfortable, maybe I'd even sleep a little more, and instead I started thinking about the laundry I need to do and the shower I need to take and the lunch I need to pack.
Ugh.
I have a job I now loathe going to, with no real end in sight. I get minor little panic attacks all the time over it and ( Read more... )

Maybe you should go speak with someone to help you cope and teach you stress relief techniques. Like you said, this is unlikely to change soon, and if it's affecting you as badly as you say it is you need to help yourself deal with this so that you don't have a nervous breakdown. They aren't fun and it'll be so much more work (and so much more damaging) than if you'd start to climb your way back up now. It can and does help. I've done it and I've been where you are. It sucks, but the help did help. <3

The main issue I have with seeing someone is that much of my stress is caused by not having any money, and going to a therapist would cost money, so the thought of going sends me into a panic. ^^;
I'll be alright. I just need to keep looking for a new job and trying to make the one I have be a little less awful.
Thanks for caring Keames <3

There are lots and lots of free and sliding scale services for people with limited means. You're so close to Waukesha County's social services buildings, you ought to go there and have a chat, see what's available. Look here and call them at (262) 548-7666 to discuss if they can do anything for you (especially re: cost) and to whom they can refer you if they can't. It's worth a call at least. Your mom may even know things that are available too.

Looking for a new job is incredibly important, but your health comes first. Jobs change, life deals us bad hands, but healthy coping skills last a life time. Take care of yourself, dear.

Ick, job woes are the worst because they're such a vicious circle. Are you hunting for a new one or trying to weather it?

A bit of both. I've applied to a few places, but I don't look so awesome on paper... so I worry about finding something that will actually pay my bills and then there's insurance and retirement and AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! Why is it so hard to live?
*sigh*
Shit should be easier yo.
