I kind of feel like I'm at a loose end now NaNo is over! It's been a weird one this year (but then, I feel like it's always a different experience and a different challenge) but although it's not perfect, I'm mostly satisfied with how it turned out. I've never written an ensemble fic before and it's given me an all-new respect for the Skins writers ( Read more... )

You don't ever give yourself a day off, do you? Challenges seem evil.

They can be stressful, but they're fun! And I get more done if I have a deadline, so I like doing them.

I can see how that would work. I admire how much you work at this for us lowly fans!! :p

LOL, I do it for myself mostly and if other people like what I write then that's just an awesome bonus. :D

A Freddie/Thomas torrid love affair?! Well, now I feel robbed, I tell you, ROBBED!

Seriously, you did a great job, and I can imagine it must feel strange for it to be over after all that writing in one month. Looks like you still have enough to keep you busy though!

Can't wait to read the 80s AU, and dude, I'm pretty sure you could make Katie/Emily work. And I, for one, would totally be eager to read it ;)

LOL I shouldn't joke about stuff like that; now I've totally made myself want to write Freddie/Thomas!

I've tried to figure out a way to make Katie/Emily work before but Naomi keeps getting in the way and can never decide if she wants to join in or not. Maybe once my challenges are done I'll give it another go!

I should probably get on that.

Please do. I...don't know how to persuade you, but here's an attempt:

Um. Yeah, if you wanted to persuade me, that would be the way to do it. ;)

Dude, I'm glad I'm not you. I can hardly get myself to learn for an exam these days, much less write thousands of words of something substantial.

LOL, in my experience writing fic has always been much much easier than writing essays or revising for exams or anything like that. :D

Oh, I don't know about that. I haven't written anything in ages, and even back in my productive days a one-shot felt like a huge achievement. I'd say it's my age showing, but you're actually older than me, which does nothing to support my argument, you know. Why is my f-list so much cooler than me?
