Still cranking away at Sakura Wars V, with the full intent of doing multiple playthroughs. If the game had as its most prominent feature a 100 percent fully accurate recreation of New York City, then no one would want to play it.

Heck, even Grand Theft Auto doesn't recreate their cities perfectly. They want their games to be fun, not depressing.

On the other hand, maybe we should expect more. After all, American movies and video games like Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift or Wreckless: the Yakuza Missions had such blazing geographical realism, it set a new standard!

Anyway I know how you feel about the heroine thing. Originally I was all about Ranpha since she was flaky but hot, but then Milfeulle totally won me over. <3

That's true! I imagine that a picture-perfect New York would shatter any and all romanticized expectations that your typical Japanese player would have about the place.

As to the other hand, those types of games/movies work better with geographical realism when their settings are meant to be gritty and realistic. We should expect more when the game's touting its realistic Yakuza pinky-choppin' dragon-tattooin' gun-slingin' action, but when we've got steampunk happy anime romantic mecha-based action, well...
