I can't post on Facebook, not even enigmatically, not even to cough this nasty feeling out of my chest. Every time I post anything on Facebook my mother-in-law's cell phone dings because evidently she has alerts set for certain people and I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm really sorry to hear things are so difficult. And they do sound difficult, and no, it doesn't sound to me like that you're "the problem." Sometimes babies just cry! Is there any possibility of getting your husband to deal with the inconsolable little one for a while? It's his job too, not just yours!

hi hon, i think this was meant to be - i am rarely on, rarely check anything other than fic updates, and rarer still do i comment on personal posts, as i feel uncomfortable when i don't have a personal relationship with someone ( ... )

I don't think anyone is "good" at the Mom thing, most Moms just do the best that they can. And I think Mini would disagree that you're not a great Mom.

It's a shame that you feel scared and trapped by it all.

Sometimes, babies and moms are tired and just want to cry.

If you do all the safety and comfort stuff for Katherine and she still is inconsolable, hand off to daddy.
