My feet are killing me! Let me tell those who ever wondered what it is like to stand for 5 hours straight, -it's hard. I was dying to sit down and have a cup of coffee and a footbath. Had a ten minute break, that's all

OOhh Bortinatta .. this is part of your new apprentice job?? Hope you dont mind, but I showed my elder son your post where you said what programs you will be learning etc...hoping to inspire him :))) Have you got comfortable shoes on ? I worked for 10 years as a school canteen manager where I was on my feet all day long, and I found if I sat down , even for 10 mins, it was the end of me. But I was able to wear joggers, with plenty of support.
It takes guts to move on , and you have done just that! My congrats to you. I was bought up at a Catholic school, very strict, and I have a problem to this day dealing with any confronfation, or with any authority at all. I have tried to overcome it (using pics of Till no less:) ) but it isn't easy. Good luck my friend :)
10 years on your feet? Eeek! I often wondered how hairdressers survive, but of course there are others as well who stand, or walk, all day.
Is your son looking for an education? Sure I recommend media design, it can be interesting whether you want to be a webdesigner, work in newspapers, magazines, doing repro - u name it. So many choices (and so much to learn)
But the spectrum job is only an additional job. Extra money-job. I still have my regular job, AND doing my apprentice-thing on the side, except my employer has to give me time off to attend classes once in a while.
It went just great! The first day was the worst actually, after that it was smooth sailing. But like mentioned earlier, it's tough to stand around and be polite for hours on end with only few breaks. But like Schlaggy said, try and sit down for a minute. You may not get up again:) Next month I'm there through 3 Oslo Horse shows, Slipknot/Slayer-concert, Anastacia, Nordic Music Awards I and II, and Sting. Hopefully something that makes it worth getting sore feet for
