Kripke must have been laughing his head off - Revolution!! RObbie is awesome. I just finished watching and am kind of absorbing now but I agree, even if Sam did sneak the amulet out of the bin, he'd have lost it again since. And Sam's expression was just as gobsmacked as Dean's. So I reckon Chuck transported it there because otherwise, why would it glow any how? It was there because he wanted them to know he was there, and to come and find them.

Eee so many feels and thoughts about this one!

Kripke tweeted that Robbie ran everything past him and Eric wholeheartedly approved :)

Yes, yes. [Nods vigorously.] I agree with you. Chuck clearly had it earlier. And then he transported it into Sam's pocket as a signal to the boys to go find him.

I enjoyed this one too!

I was thinking even if Sam had the amulet in that keepsake box of his -- that we saw when he put the brochures from the retirement home in there -- God could have easily retrieved it from there or wherever!

I screamed out loud when that amulet appeared, I tell you. :)

freya922 might be on to something...

And how was it possible that by the end of the episode I liked Metatron, the villain I have hated the most in all 11 years?!?!?

We were definitely shown that Chuck had it with Metatron. And Chuck put it Sam's pocket to save the day and be known. The powers that be know how important the samulet is to parts of fandom and so the line about "not believing where it had been" was meant to intrigue but never answer. They really want that particular bit of canon to be open to individual fan interpretation.

I was also blown away. Rob owned the role. Fantastic performance. He oozed power.

I absolutely LOVED the episode - which doesn't happen much any more. (The last one was the musical episode.) I grinned all the way through it!

It was well past time for God!Chuck to come back, reveal himself, and sit down with the boys.

I'll entertain myself with the notion that Chuck will reset things to get rid of all the Big Bads that are supposed to be terrifying and end up just being stupid, so the boys can go back to Saving People...Hunting Things. The family business.
