Moving On

So at 1:24 pm today I walked out of work never to return--officially retired!!!

I've been the Caregiver Manager at a home care agency in Chicago for 12 1/2 years (I started in September 2009, the same month I started watching Supernatural as it aired live for season 5.)
For the first 11 years I loved my job and the people I worked with. Then in

At first when I saw the post title I panicked, because I was like, "I HOPE SHE'S NOT MOVING ON FROM LJ." Imagine my relief to read on and see that it was about much bigger and much more exciting types of moves!

Huge congratulations on the retirement, though I'm sorry the company ended up taking a turn at the end. Spending with with your SPN fam and then being able to luxuriate in a long stay with your daughter sounds like the PERFECT way to celebrate!

And wow, that an exciting summer, re: moving plans! The mystery of the two coasts... ;)

And omggg I marvel at the ambition of your SPN rewatch timeline, but that also sounds glorious.

Congratulations on your retirement! Have FUN at the convention! And have fun in Heidelberg! There are lots of interesting places in Germany. And Austria is not far away (Salzberg, Vienna...). :)

I will be taking a train trip to Romania to visit an SPN friend I made on LJ and will be changing trains in Vienna...Don't know if I will get to see Vienna, but I am excited about seeing the countryside!
