'I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness, too, so I stayed in the darkness with you...'

I had a fantastic week over the past week, riding on a wave of euphoria and giddiness. Then I got knocked off and dragged under by the usual unpleasant vagaries of life. Because my joy never lasts long before it gets tainted with some misery. But I use my journal to complain about trivial things too often- now I shall celebrate some of the small ( Read more... )

Hee, I regret that I've mislead people so badly! I'm not on Twitter, but someone posted the pics from Twitter onto one of the comms, so that's what I meant!

Hmm have we moved on from boobs to legs??

We go back and forth between admiring both features! WE ARE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OGLERS. :D *squishes you for being so fun to squee with*

I understand ALL about the contradictions of mothers. *sigh. The relationship I have with my parents can only be described as tense! LOL.

That's great that you're doing beta work, it's the best way to get involved. And Kathryn is lucky to have a wonderful beta :) In some ways, I'm envious! I need someone to love my fic, too. Sigh. It's just so hard to write and then have the fic go unnoticed. Sometimes, I have to wonder if I'm asking the wrong question! It's not, "When will the fic get its following," but rather, "Is the fic just bad?" Sorry for all this depressive, whiny rambling :( I've been having a tough week writing-wise.

*facepalm* I didn't lie! I never said I was on Twitter...just the actors posted on Twitter and dedicated fans squeed about it on the forums and I found out...I am gratified at how many people want to friend me on another site, lol, but I barely have time to keep up with all the awesome folk here, I can't be unfaithful to LJ and run away with Twitter!

My mother is an amazing paragon of humor, love and benevolence. Except when she's in a snit, out to get me and determined to ruin my life. It's hard to blame her, though, I'd hate to have me as a daughter. *eyeroll* I'm a warning to myself not to ever have kids, lol. :P

Oh? *squishes* Do they have expectations you can't fulfil and that kind of thing? There's always some way you disappoint them? *sighs* This crap never gets old, no matter what age you are.

Thank you, sweetie, that's a lovely compliment and I confess, participating in fandom like this really makes me feel so proud and fulfilled.

I pimp like crazy, 'tis what I do! When I love something, I need to advertise it to the world and be obnoxious, like, 'DROP WHAT YOU'RE DOING, CHECK THIS OUT IMMEDIATELY'. *squishes*

And lol, I was rushing so fast with posting this, 'coz I missed one bus and it was perilously close to missing the next, that I'm surprised things actually make sense! I meant to say that the LotS vid was one the many awesome ones you've made...oh, well. :P

it makes me giddy that you think it's awesome!!

♥ Of course I do! You know that was me that left that comment on it over on YT, right? I know there's a '1' at the end of my username, but it's me. :P

Hahah, that's awesome. Well, you know saying that it's one of my LotS vids could be considered preemtive, because I'm really itching to do an action vid, considering the amazingness we were given in "Light" and Cara and Kahlan being so damned badass!! I mean, Kahlan totally pawns all, but Cara really lived up to her awesome here. I really like where they're going with them. And that scene where they burnt out the wound, HILARIOUS. (*THUD* "Kahlan?") I can't wait for the next episode and you know, I accidently read a summary on the books...it wasn't really diverse and it was kind of badly written...but it gave me hope and kind of made me want to read the books (and I don't read fantasy) Maybe I'll consider it after the show is over, if necessary ( ... )

Another vid, so soon, srsly?! *bounce bounce* I would absolutely love to see a vid with the ladies being bad ass and banding together to face off against the baddies with too little sense to realize they are so totally screwed, lol ( ... )

I didnt see that scene as damsel in distress, I saw it as Emily is battered and bruised and she cant fend them off like she would at full capacity. She shouldnt even have been in the field at all at that point but they never seem to care when they're beat to hell, they're working the case anyway. Did you notice though that other than Morgan, no one even seemed to acknowledge her injury. She was in a deadly car crash, watched a cop get murdered and listened to a killer contemplate murdering her......and she didnt even get a hug from her team. Reid gets hugs, and hushed tones on his drug addiction, and Prentiss gets bupkis. Now *that's* the double standard.

That ep definitely gave some love to the Morgan/Prentiss ship. How about a little love for the Hotch/Prentiss ship. K, thanks. Oh and one of my friend's new name for Rossi......Captain Obvious. It cracked me up : D

Epic comment of epicness! *beams* Your enthusiasm is so flattering, darling! *happydances*

Sparkly detailing FTW!
Though mother does not agree. She bought me a second pair of jeans in black, and then the blue version for herself- but she pulled off the shinies! *gapes in horror* How could she?! It actually looked…semi-cool afterwards, because it revealed this delicate detailing in a different shade of blue, and looked less exuberant and more like her style…she was worried about the other teachers gossiping about her looking like ‘mutton dressed as lamb’- because you put a bunch of women together, they will get snooty about other women. It’s very sad, so much for the sisterhood myth. *snorts*

I may be showing my ignorance here, but I'm sure that crap is made up for TV. *eye roll* Every time they do one I'm like, "Really? This again?"Y’know, even if it’s real, I seriously doubt it works the way they show it on tv. People aren’t going to have vivid flashbacks to the point where they can recall sounds and textures and teensy little ( ... )

Working in a predominantly female office is so awesome sometimes!

*snorts* Sarcasm, y/y?
Men don't seem to have this problem. Honestly, are we hard-wired for conflict or something? It's ridiculous!

it doesn't seem to me, from the questions they ask, how you'd be able to remember anything more specific. It. Doesn't. Make. Sense!

IKR? 'Think back to what happened...what do you smell...now what memories does the smell of dirt and rain unlock? Oh, you now recall the teensiest details about the UNSUB? A scar? An accent? A license plate? HOW CONVENIENT'. *eyeroll*

The thing I love about the CM girls is even when they're beat down, they still keep fighting -Em's "I can take it" in 'Minimal Loss' (god that fight scene gives me the chills).

It doesn't matter how many times I watch that sequence [and yes, I've watched it too many times to be healthy], it never fails to make me appreciate how awesome she is. It just makes me quiver with hurt for her and also burst with pride at how my bb deals. *squishes*

And yeah, there has been a lot ( ... )
