Hmm, as for the xfiles community- damn, I need to submit a request to join...that's bringing back memories of high school and being picked last and all those sorts of things that scar you for life, lol. But heh, it's a sign that one of the first fics I see is based on the Modell ep, Pusher- my Year 9 creative writing story was worked around a sequel to that ep...

Yeah, I have no idea what I was doing last week- I kind of drop in on LJ when I can get online and then I've missed out on tons of excitement, argh. Thanks for catching me up!

Well as a fan from day one of the x-files, I will tell you, that I am not unhappy at all about not seeing Dogget/Reyes. They are not x-files. They were poor substitute for icons. They are not in the movie. As for AP & Xzibit - I can only giggle at that. Whatever ( ... )

Fair enough on D/R, I know they weren't universally loved, far from it. I suppose it's just that I would've admired some loyalty to the characters who carried on the show for the last two seasons, you know? It's like a slap in the face not to include them in the movie. Why waste time developing two brand-new characters in the movie, with limited enough time as it is, when you have two familiar characters hanging in the cupboard, waiting to be pulled out and used? I suppose it's partially my dislike of the idea that we'll have to wait and see these new characters introduced and developed when that time could've been cut short with the return of two old characters and then we could get on with the movie and more M/S. It struck me what a huge generation gap there is between me and my own generation when a few years back, I was watching a quiz program where the clue was 'in this show, the FBI agents searched for proof of alien life'. The kid didn't know what it could be. The host asked, 'If I say Mulder and Scully, does that help?' It still didn't...and I'm hurling abuse at the screen over how dense the kid is, lol. It was just so appalling that he didn't know, and he was only a few years younger than me!

Thanks for the linkie- it's amazing to think that it's been active for 14 years and that you've been a member for that long! I wish I'd been born earlier. *pouts*

It's unfair, really- if GA were looking old, there would be heaps of criticism, but DD looks older and yet it just makes him look distinguished, whereas older women just look...wrinkly...damn biology! I mean, look at Mark Harmon in NCIS, he's so handsome and yet he's OLD. You don't see old women still being that attractive, as a general statement.

Can't wait til July!
